LSU and Clemson will meet Monday night in the college football national championship. The Carolina Panthers could draft several of the game’s participants come April.

As college football’s 2019 season comes to a close on Monday night when Clemson and LSU meet in New Orleans, the NFL offseason will only be ramping up. Free agency and pre-draft workouts and meetings will dominate football media coverage over the next four months as teams gear up for the 2020 season. Since the Carolina Panthers failed to make the playoffs for the third time in the past four years, the front office should have ample time to begin scouting potential draft picks. Monday’s national championship will provide an opportunity for some of the country’s top players to showcase their talent before a national audience.

Both rosters are filled with NFL talent, and have a plethora of future first-round picks. LSU quarterback Joe Burrow will likely be the top pick in April’s draft, while Clemson’s star signal-caller Trevor Lawrence will have to wait another year before reaching the professional level. That being said, neither are likely to be Carolina’s quarterback of the future. Some other positions, however, can be filled by players in the upcoming championship game. Each team can run up the score, and each can dominate on the defensive side of the ball. The two teams are so talented that even the most casual of college football fans can’t help but wonder how the players can help their favorite NFL teams. So, without further ado, here are five players in the national championship that could become Panthers in the near future.
