Certainly the most highly-anticipated game of this homestand came on Thursday night when Kemba Walker made his first return to Charlotte. After signing with Boston in the offseason, Walker has gone from a middling Hornets club to a legitimate Finals contender. However, his exit created more outrage against the ownership than it did towards Walker himself.

In eight seasons with Charlotte, he scored almost 20 points per game and routinely poured his heart and soul into the city. When he returned this week, he was given the hero’s welcome he deserved, receiving a tribute video and an individual introduction. And, just like they should have, the fans welcomed him with a standing ovation.
