Aside from Graham, the most impressive Hornet in the early going was rookie forward PJ Washington. The first-round selection averaged more than 15 points per game over the first seven contests, as he shot over 57% from the field and 47% from deep. Over the past two games though, the Kentucky product has cooled off a bit. Since the loss to Boston on Thursday, Washington is shooting just 4-17 from the field, and missed his only three-point attempt.

A two-game span is difficult to judge any player on, but for the first time in his professional career, he has looked like a rookie. Hopefully for Washington and the Hornets, he can get back on track Sunday night against Philadelphia. After all, he’s adjusted well to every other challenge NBA life has thrown at him so far.
