The 2018-2019 season marked Walker’s best professional season yet, so it makes sense that his best game came in the same season. On November 17, 2018, Walker dropped a career-high 60 points as the Hornets celebrated the organization’s 30-year anniversary. Walker made 21 of 34 field goals including six of 14 from deep and a perfect 12 for 12 from the free-throw line. Not only did he score 60 points, but he also collected four assists, four steals, and seven rebounds.

Unfortunately for Walker and the Hornets, his monster game wasn’t enough as Charlotte ultimately fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in overtime. Walker’s 60-point game represented a new franchise record, as he joined James Harden as the only other player to score 60 or more in the 2018-2019 season. Even though the Hornets lost the game, the phenomenal performance is one that will define Walker’s legacy in Charlotte.
