Prior to the start of last season, one of Walker’s goals for the year was to make the All-Star Game in Charlotte. Not only did he get selected for the third-straight year, but he was also voted a starter by the fans. In front of the hometown crowd he took only eight shots in 20 minutes, however, he did manage to dish out eight assists for Team Giannis.

Regardless of Walker’s stat line in the game, he gave Hornets fans an overwhelming sense of pride in their point guard. It was great for both the city and the franchise to see him get the start in his own city. In what was a career-year for him, he averaged 25.6 points and 5.9 assists per game. To date, Walker is just the seventh Hornet to make an All-Star Game, and only the third to ever start one.
