McCaffrey has easily been the Panthers’ best player this season, and perhaps even the best in the entire league. The third-year back has a whopping total of 1,244 yards from scrimmage after eight games, and leads the league in total touchdowns with 13. If McCaffrey can keep up his yardage pace for the rest of the campaign, he will be right on track to break Chris Johnson’s single-season yards from scrimmage record.

Behind McCaffrey, Reggie Bonnafon is the only other running back with more than four carries. In limited work Bonnafon has played well, rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries. If Carolina hopes to be a serious contender in 2019, it’ll likely be on the shoulders of #22.
