Halfway through the season, the Carolina Panthers are second in the NFC South and on the cusp of playoff contention.

At the midpoint of the Panthers’ 2019 season, they currently sit at 5-3 overall, and are in the thick of the playoff hunt. It hasn’t always been pretty, though, as Cam Newton remains sidelined indefinitely, and the team suffered its worst loss under Ron Rivera on October 27th. Fortunately for Carolina, the good far outweighs the bad. Kyle Allen stepped in for the injured Newton and has posted a 5-1 record, Christian McCaffrey is a leading MVP candidate, and the defensive front has been playing at an elite level. Without further ado, here is the Panthers’ midseason report card.
