4. Duke Blue Devils (4-4)

Last Weeks Ranking: 4

Duke had the week off, coming off of a heartbreaking loss to UNC a week ago. David Cutcliffe was able to get an extra week of preparation for Notre Dame, who comes to Durham Saturday. Two of the final four opponents for Duke are ranked and three of the final four games are at home. It will be interesting to see how the Devils finish the season.

3. North Carolina Tar Heels (4-5)

Last Weeks Ranking: 3

Saturday marked another close loss for the Tar Heels. They had plenty of chances to win the game but weren’t able to tie it up late, with multiple key drops in the fourth quarter. Carolina’s offense played pretty well overall and avoided any turnovers or costly penalties. Their defense just couldn’t seem to find an answer for Bryce Perkins and that Wahoo offense.

Mack Brown has this team competing, but they are having a hard time finishing games. With their loss to the Cavaliers Saturday, all five of their losses have been by one score. Only one of their nine games has been decided by more than one possession. They will need to beat Pitt or NC State to go bowling this season.
