Three takeaways from the Charlotte Hornets preseason

The Charlotte Hornets wrapped up their preseason slate with Wednesday night’s 116-110 home loss. Charlotte finished 1-4 overall in the preseason.

Following the conclusion of the Hornets’ preseason schedule, fans and coaches alike have been granted an early glimpse what this season may look like. Sure, the win-loss record wasn’t what the franchise wanted, however, that doesn’t mean that the preseason was a complete wash.

For one, some of the Hornets’ young pieces were given opportunities to shine. To add to that, there were a few relatively unknown players who had some surprise performances, as well the fact that some of the young players were afforded positive growing experiences.

The 2019-2020 season will undoubtedly be a season of the Hornets seeing what they have and likely lots of losing, however, the preseason was merely the first look at what the Hornets can be in the new campaign. Here are three takeaways from Charlotte’s preseason performance.
