No. 1: Hornets away uniforms (1988-2002)

Coming in at number one on the Hornets uniform countdown is the franchise’s original away uniforms. The combination of the teal uniform with the white lettering is a timeless look that is still pleasing to the eye.

The purple outline of the numbers and lettering give this uniform a nice, clean overall feel. Like the other two original uniforms, these jerseys featured the pinstripes and five-striped cuffs and collars and were recently brought back as a throwback option.

The teal throwback was actually the first original uniform to be brought back by Nike/Jordan, however, it was worn only during the 2017-2018 season up until this point. Whether you look at the original or the throwback version of the teal uniforms, it’s a clean look that Hornets fans have grown to appreciate. Now that the Hornets have completed the throwback set, who knows, they could become the team’s permanent set somewhere down the road.
