A former playoff team rounds out the 2019-20 Metropolitan Division Standing Preview.

Hockey season is right around the corner and with it comes the many highs and lows that fans will find themselves in watching their favorite teams. For those fans whose teams are set for another deep playoff run, an enjoyable year of dominance. For fans whose team is an abysmal bottom dweller, the torturous pace may lead to drafting a generational talent that will propel the team back to relevancy. And finally, those teams that aren’t bad enough to get a prime draft pick but also not good enough to make the playoffs, their fans usually become a defensive and negative bunch.

With the preseason wrapped up, it’s time to have a go at trying to predict where the teams in the Metropolitan might fall into place. With the NHL being one of the sports leagues with the highest amounts of parity, this is a nigh-impossible task to correctly guess at, but this is only my personal take. It isn’t a personal slight against your favorite team, but simply where I feel they will end up. Without further adieu, the standings.
