No. 2: Fire Norv Turner as Offensive Coordinator

Disclaimer: We couldn’t find a more recent picture of Norv or a photo of him coaching with the Panthers, so this photo is gonna have to do.

This may seem like we’re jumping the gun on getting rid of Norv, but his offense during the last eight games as offensive coordinator has looked borderline prehistoric.

Cam seems to have a better connection with the quarterback’s coach and Norv’ son Scott Turner so perhaps it may be time for Norv to leave the game and make room for a younger offensive mind.

If the Panthers aren’t interested in hiring from within, the team could always bring in Jim Caldwell to run the offense. Caldwell was Peyton Manning’s coach for years and was part of an offense scheme in Baltimore that made Joe Flacco look all-pro during the 2012 postseason. Caldwell can be the guy who helps Newton on his accuracy issues and makes him a better passer so he doesn’t have to rely on using his legs to make plays.
