One Player to Watch on Western Carolina:

Redshirt Senior QB Tyrie Adams

An incredibly experienced and athletic signal-caller, Adams makes the Catamount offense go. Adams was 25-38 for 318 yards and two touchdowns last week and if given the time and space, could carve up the Wolfpack defense.

If N.C. State Wins:

It’ll be on to the next one against a tough West Virginia team. The only cause for concern would be if the Wolfpack doesn’t blow out the Catamounts. After all Western Carolina was down 42-14 at the half to FCS Mercer. The Wolfpack should be able to easily stroll past the Catamounts. Just hope for no injuries.

If N.C. State Loses:

Whoof, it would be really, really bad. Western Carolina is not a good FCS team. This is not a team that will be will be in the FCS Playoffs and should not, I repeat, should not be in the game against an ACC team like N.C. State.  N.C. State losing would likely have to come along with a comically bad string of injuries and N.C. State should just go out and win this game,

Prediction:

N.C. State is going to win this game easily and the coaching staff will get to see several of the underclassmen that are redshirting this season get on the field. This will be an opportunity for N.C. State receivers to step up in the absence of C.J. Riley.
