What position battles are the most intriguing as the Panthers kick off the 2019 preseason.

The Carolina Panthers kick off the 2019 preseason on Thursday night when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. The first preseason game won’t feature all of the starters, namely missing Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly, but there will be plenty of intrigue as players look to win the open position battles on this year’s team.

The team has a host of spots open as the preseason kicks off, which quarterback being the most pressing as Newton tries to rehab his injury. With the team switching to a 3-4, there will be much change on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Either way, it’s going to be interesting to watch the Panthers take the field on Thursday and see who can win important jobs on a team with high expectations for this season.
