For most people, the thought of signing a Bruin makes you vomit a little in your mouth, but hey at least it’s not Brad Marchand. Acciari is a gritty fourth-line player that could replace McGinn or Maenalanen if they walk in free agency.

The winger is great on the penalty kill and won’t cost a fortune to sign, likely somewhere in the same area as what Ferland was making this season.

Acciari only scored six goals in 2018-19 and his career high is just 10, so he’s not a guy that’s going to fill up the stat sheet. He is however, someone who brings grit and intangibles that every team needs on a 4th-line.

He’s not a high-upside play nor is he a splashy signing, but he could also be a signing that gets the Hurricanes over the hump.
