Al Horford

An NBA star on the back end of his prime and probably on his final big payday? It sounds like the perfect fit for the Hornets. That’s not to say that Horford is a scrub, but he is going to be 33 this coming season and is entering his 12th season in the league.

Horford is probably one of the most versatile NBA bigs in the league right now, but the real issue will be his durability, as he has only played a full 82 game season once in his entire career, he usually plays anywhere from 60 to 70 games a season.

Horford declined his player option in Boston, which would’ve paid him over $30 million, so the price tag will be fairly steep to acquire the former Florida big man, but the Hornets miss out on Kemba, they would have the money to spend on Horford.
