NBA Free Agents: Five Players the Hornets Should Go After
By Joseph Ochoa
Jeremy Lamb
Lamb from being an okay basketball player during the first few years of his career to being a highly effective wing player during the 18-19 season. It would be a worthwhile investment to resign Lamb to a contract, but the situation to resign him to the Hornets could get tricky if the Hornets sign Walker to the supermax.
Walker has stated that he would be more than willing to take less money to stay in Charlotte. Should that be the case, expect Charlotte to make a run at Lamb.
Of course, the Hornets will need to be worried about the Los Angeles Lakers and possibly the Orlando Magic making a run at Lamb. The Lakers only have LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma filling out starting spots, and as the Lakers became a premier destination overnight, they could poach the 27-year old from the Hornets. The Magic also could throw a big payday at Lamb if they are unable to resign Terrence Ross.
