Teams Begin Negotiating with Free Agents Monday

This Sunday is the final day of the 2018-2019 NBA League Year, which means the new league year will get started on July 1, meaning the Charlotte Hornets will finally be able to get started on pursuing free agents.

With the start of the league year, the July Moratorium begins as well. While transactions can’t become official during that time period, most teams can begin negotiating with free agents during that time frame.

With that in mind, here are some of the best potential fits for the Charlotte Hornets and who they should pursue during the early stages of free agency.

One caveat: We will be excluding Kemba Walker from this list as it’s pretty much a given that the Hornets will be trying their best to resign the star.
