ICYMI: NBA Draft Links Round-Up
Catch up on all of Old North Banter’s NBA Draft Coverage
The 2019 NBA Draft was an active one for North Carolina sports fans. Between six local players being drafted and the Hornets making three picks, it was easy to find something to pay attention to throughout the night. Add in former N.C. State star T.J. Warren being drafted, former recruit Jalen Lecque and several others signing undrafted free agent deals, and there was almost too much to keep track of.
Here’s a recap of all the draft coverage from Old North Banter:
Zion Williamson became the next NBA superstar after being drafted No. 1 overall
The Hornets selected a developing scorer in PJ Washington in the first round
The Hornets then doubled down on forwards in the second round
All of this added up to a very meh draft for Charlotte
The Trail Blazers got the steal of the draft in Nassir Little
The Bulls got a perfect fit in Coby White
The Suns, however, reached on Cam Johnson at No. 11
Warren was traded from Phoenix to Indiana, and was the winner of the 2019 Draft
Overshadowed but not forgotten, R.J. Barrett landed with the Knicks
The drafting of Cam Reddish means that the Hawks won the Luka Doncic trade
