5 Questions the Hurricanes Must Answer this Offseason

5.) Power Play
There were a lot of good things about the hurricanes this past season, their power play was not one of them. The Hurricanes finished 20th in power play percentage, converting on just 17.8% of their chances during the regular season.
Unfortunately for first-year head coach Rod Brind’Amour, much of the blame for that falls on him. Under former coach, Bill Peters, Brind’Amour took over as the architect of the power play, a responsibility he carried over into his work as the Head Coach.
Brind’Amour needs to take a long look at his power play philosophy and what he can do to take better advantage when his team is a man up.
