These were questions that have been asked all season, so there’s nothing new here. Outside of Aho, Williams, and the goalies, who all have their own intricacies to discuss, we’re also looking at guys who instrumental in the playoff run possibly walking out the door. Michael Ferland looks likely to walk after raising his stock during a one-year “prove yourself” contract. Guys like Greg Mckegg, Clark Bishop, and Brock McGinn will also be free agents this summer.

Going deeper, some strong prospects will be entering free agency as Calder Cup Champions if not re-signed. Names like Andrew Poturalski, Saku Maenalanen, Trevor Carrick, and Haydn Fleury are going on the market.

There may be bigger decisions to make this offseason, but these guys played big parts in the success of this franchise this season. making sure these are left in the wake of the massive names that may be leaving/staying/arriving this summer, could prove to be the difference in the future.
