5 Questions the Hurricanes Must Answer this Offseason

The young Finn is a rising star in the NHL, there is no doubt about that. That he needs to be part of the future in Carolina if they want to build off their Conference Finals appearance is also a certainty. How that happens is where the issue arises.

Aho is expected to be a hot commodity should he become a RFA this offseason, likely drawing a contract in the $10M per year range. It is extremely urgent that the Canes hash out a deal that keeps him in Carolina before FA starts. otherwise the cost will skyrocket possibly beyond what the Canes can pay.
