The Cardinals are the toughest test ECU has faced this season and the Pirates had hoped to get off to a good start with their ace Jake Agnos starting in game one but ended up in hole after a big offensive day from the Cardinals. The Pirates dropped Game one 14-1 and now must once again dig themselves out of a bad first day.
