Run defense steps up

The offense for Georgia Tech is known for one thing and that is running the ball. They ranked first in the ACC with 352.4 rushing yards per game, over 70 yards more per game than the next team (Clemson).

However the Blue Devils’ defense had an answer for this and they finished with only 229 rushing yards. This was higher than the 140 rushing yards per game they have been giving up to this point, but taking into account their opponent, this was a great performance.

The defense was led by their star linebackers, Joe Giles-Harris and Ben Humphreys, who combined for 26 total tackles against the Yellow Jackets. However, one of the unsung heroes in this game was defensive end Chris Rumph II, who led the team with four tackles for a loss.
