Turnovers almost cost them the win

This game was certainly a little uncharacteristic of this NC State football team as they had four turnovers against Boston College. Through the first four games this year, the Wolfpack only had three total turnovers and Ryan Finley only had one interception over that span but threw two against the Eagles.

There is no question that this NC State football team will only go as far as this offense, and specifically Ryan Finley, are able to take them. The fact that they were turning over the ball as much as they were, put their defense in a tough position.

The good news, and one of the reasons the Wolfpack were able to win, was that Boston College didn’t really capitalize on the turnovers. In fact, they only got scored points off two of the turnovers, three if the blocked punt is included.

The turnovers is something that hasn’t been an issue before today but is something worth watching in the coming weeks.
