Need big plays from Greg Dortch

In any big game for a football team, the one thing they need is to get big performances from their stars. The Demon Deacons don’t have a bigger star than wide receiver Greg Dortch.

The electric wide receiver is coming off a four touchdown game against Rice, which was the second of his career. He currently leads this offense in receptions (45), receiving yards (555) and receiving touchdowns (5).

This won’t be the only way he can have an impact as he is the team’s primary return man and is one of the best in the ACC. In the game against Towson, Dortch returned two punt returns for touchdown.

The hope would be that Dortch can make a few plays in this phase of the game and help win the field position battle against Clemson. The shorter this offense has to go to get into scoring range would certainly be a boost.

The chances the Wake Forest football team can pull the upset would seem to be low, however it isn’t inconceivable. If they focus on these few keys and are able to execute, the Demon Deacons could find themselves in position for a win over Clemson.
