The NC State Football team made the AP Top 25 for the first time this year after starting the year 4-0.

The NC State football team remained undefeated with their 35-21 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers. The Wolfpack moved to 4-0 on the season and broke into the AP Top 25 for the first time this season, entering the rankings at 23.

After a slow start to the season, with almost an upset to James Madison in the first game, the Wolfpack looks to be hitting their stride as they enter the ACC part of their schedule.

The win on Saturday over Virginia was their best game to date as the Cavaliers were their toughest opponent, since the game against the West Virginia Mountaineers earlier in the year was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence. The Wolfpack also have wins over Georgia State and Marshall.

This team is once again led by Ryan Finley, who is one of the top NFL prospects at the position in college football. Through the first four games, Finley has completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 1,313 passing yards with eight touchdowns and only one interception.

The Wolfpack are one of four teams in the ACC currently ranked in the Top 25. The Clemson Tigers are the highest, currently ranked fourth after they survived an upset scare by the Syracuse Orange. They are followed by the Miami Hurricanes, who are 16th, after their blowout win over the UNC Tar Heels.

The final team is the Virginia Tech Hokies, who enter the rankings at 24, after their win over the Duke Blue Devils. The Blue Devils were actually ranked 22nd last week however the loss dropped them from the rankings.
