The Carolina Panthers had this past weekend off and these are the top storylines heading into Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

The Carolina Panthers’ bye week came early this year as the team has only played three games of the 2018 season. They were one of two teams, along with the Washington Redskins, that had Week 4 off.

The Panthers will now turn their attention to the rest of the 2018 season as they look to have consecutive back to back winning seasons. The start to the season certainly is promising as they started the season 2-1, with wins over the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals and the lone loss coming against the Atlanta Falcons.

However, this team has looked great on both sides of the ball as they are averaging 23.7 points per game and only allowing 20.0 points per game. This is a great sign considering the Panthers were entering this year with new coordinators on both the offensive and defensive of the ball, with Norv Turner and Eric Washington respectively.

The Carolina Panthers now begin preparation for the rest of the year and it starts with Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. These are the top storylines for the Panthers coming out of the bye week.
