It was not a pretty game for the UNC football team on primetime in their 47-10 loss to the Miami Hurricanes.

The UNC football team was coming off their first win of the season, with a 35-31 win over Pittsburgh. There was some confidence that this team could go down to Miami and possibly grab an upset over the 16th ranked Hurricanes.

However, that hope quickly went away and after Freeman Jones connected on a field goal on their opening drive, the UNC football team was outscored 47-7.

The turnovers by the Tar Heels is certainly a big headline from this game as they had six turnovers, three interceptions and three fumbles, with three of them being returned for touchdowns. This was certainly a big factor on the final outcome and never really allowed the Tar Heels to make it competitive.

The Tar Heels offense never really looked in sync on the field, outside of that opening drive, and never really put themselves in position to extend drives. They finished the game converting only 2 of 13 third down attempts against the Hurricanes.

These are the top takeaways for the UNC football team in their 47-10 defeat to the Miami Hurricanes.
