These are the key players to watch on the UNC football team in their biggest test of the season against the Miami Hurricanes.

The UNC football team is coming off their first win of the season however they don’t have long to enjoy it as they will travel to Miami to face the Hurricanes on Thursday night. There is no question that this is their toughest test of the season as the Hurricanes are the most talented team the Tar Heels have faced.

The good news for the Tar Heels though is they have a number of players returning from suspension this week. The suspension for selling team-issued schools was for 30 percent of the season so with the Tar Heels schedule being shortened to 12 games due to the game against UCF being cancelled, there are seven players eligible to return for this game.

One of those players returning could give Larry Fedora a tough decision in the game as quarterback Chazz Surratt will be eligible to play. Surratt was expected to compete with Nathan Elliott for the starting quarterback job prior to the season.

While Elliott did struggle in the first two games, he had his best performance of the season against Pitt. He is the first player that Tar Heels’ fans should pay close attention to Thursday night.
