Need more touchdowns in the red zone

While this hasn’t costed the Wolfpack a win, as they head into the ACC schedule it should be something they work to correct. This offense has struggled to score touchdowns and have had to settle for field goals once they are in the red zone.

While the NC State football team did win by 17, the winning margin should have been much higher as they had to settle for three field goals in the red zone in the first half. They also had combined for three field goals in the red zone in the first two games against James Madison University and Georgia State.

This is an area an improved run game could be really beneficial for this offense. The opposing defenses are not concerned with the run game which allows them to drop more into coverage. In this part of the field, where there is less area for defenses to cover it makes it tougher to find room in the passing game.
