Emeka Emezie takes big hits but bounces back

It was a tough day all around for the wide receiver position for the NC State football team. Early in the game, they saw Thayer Thomas leave after taking a big hit. He was not able to return to the game and came out of the locker room with his arm in a sling.

Another player that took huge hits was Emeka Emezie, who was constantly going over the middle. In the first half, Ryan Finley was able to find Emezie on a third down that he held on to despite getting hit by a safety in the back. Later in that drive, Finley overthrew Emezie that was upended by the Thundering Herd in a scary looking play.

However, he was able to bounce back and finished the game with six receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.

The wide receiver position in general has been forced to deal with their fair share of injuries this year. However, the depth has really shown for this group and once they are able to get healthy Finley should have plenty of weapons.
