Thieves Ave. makes a return

Could this be the second coming of Thieves Avenue? The term came to be in 2015 when the Panthers lead the NFL in interceptions with 24.

However, this current secondary has no players left from that 2015 season and if they continue this trend they may need a new name.

Robber Road? Burglar Block? Thieves Ave. 2.0?

While there is time to come up with a new name, the performance by this group is certainly impressive. The cornerback position is led by James Bradberry, who has had consecutive strong performances against two of the best wide receivers in the game. After last week’s game against Julio Jones, the Panthers were able to hold A.J. Green to only five receptions for 58 yards.

However, it was rookie Donte Jackson who really flashed with two impressive interceptions on Andy Dalton. If Bradberry continues to lock down opposing wide receivers, quarterbacks will certainly challenge Jackson and if he continues to make them pay like he did on Sunday, this will be a tough defense to pass on.
