These are the top takeaways from the 56-27 loss by the Wake Forest football team to Notre Dame.

This was a tough game for the Wake Forest football team as the Fighting Irish overpowered them and ran away with a 56-27 victory over the Demon Deacon.

The game was much closer in the first half and the Demon Deacons were down only 28-13 and the score very easily could have been 28-19 if two field goals by Nick Sciba didn’t hit the uprights.

However, the second half was a different story as the Fighting Irish came out to score 21 unanswered points in the third quarter that really opened this game up and the Wake Forest football team was not able to make it a game after that.

The Demon Deacons’ defense once again was the team’s Achilles heel as they allowed 566 total yards. The Fighting Irish made a switch to Ian Book at quarterback and it was clearly the right call as he had 325 passing yards and five total touchdowns (two passing, three rushing).

While these are some of the games coaches just throw away the tape and move onto next week but these are some of the top takeaways for the Demon Deacons against the Fighting Irish.
