Fantasy Football: Carolina Panthers Week 3 Outlook
Running Backs
The Bengals’ defense has struggled to stop opposing running backs in the passing game, which means this has a chance to be another big game for Christian McCaffrey. Through the first two games, McCaffrey has 20 receptions for 147 yards. Those 20 receptions currently ranks second in the NFL, not among running backs but the entire NFL.
Meanwhile the Bengals have allowed 18 receptions and 145 receiving yards to running backs through the first two games.
If McCaffrey wasn’t already a must start, he has to be at this point and he should have another big game for PPR owners.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much else at the running back position in terms of fantasy as the Panthers run game has been almost non-existent. While C.J. Anderson has run well, he isn’t getting enough carries, with only 10 on the season, to warrant starting.
