Quentin Harris

The biggest question entering the Duke Blue Devils game against Baylor last weekend was how Quentin Harris would perform. The backup quarterback was thrusted into the starting role when Daniel Jones suffered a broken clavicle the week prior against Northwestern.

Harris responded with 174 passing yards, 83 rushing and three total touchdowns as the Blue Devils scored their most points of the season.

However, surprisingly this could be Harris’ final start as Daniel Jones was back at practice this week, only 10 days after having surgery. It would certainly be surprising to see the coaching staff rush Jones back for this game against NC Central. If he is cleared though, this offense could use a boost against Virginia Tech next week.

No matter when Jones returns, head coach David Cutcliffe should have plenty of confidence with Harris under center. He should have another strong performance Saturday against NC Central.
