These are the performance grades for the position groups for the Carolina Panthers in their Week 2 loss against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Carolina Panthers certainly didn’t get the result they were hoping to when they headed south to Atlanta to face the Falcons in Week 2. The Falcons had built a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter but the Panthers came up just short of tying the game with DJ Moore dropping a pass in the end zone as time expired.

Even though the Panthers couldn’t get that final touchdown this offense, specifically the passing attack, was clicking with 439 total yards, 318 of those through the air.

The defense though struggled to slow down the Falcons’ offense, even though they were without their starting running back Devonta Freeman. The Falcons had 442 total yards and averaged 7.4 yards per play.

This didn’t slow down their run game though as Tevin Coleman ran for 107 yards, which was the first time in 22 games that the Panthers allowed an opposing running back to break the century mark.

These are our grades for how each position group performed for the Carolina Panthers in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.
