These are the key players fans should watch when the Duke football team travels to take on the Baylor Bears.

This is a game the Duke football team should have felt confident heading into their second road game of the season against the Baylor Bears. They are coming off their best win of the season with a 21-7 victory over Northwestern.

However, that victory was costly for them as they lost their starting quarterback Daniel Jones and cornerback Mark Gilbert to injuries. While Jones is hopefully to be back at some point this season, the Blue Devils will enter Saturday with a new player under center.

This is a significant loss as Jones has been playing exceptionally well through the first two games with 389 passing yards, five total touchdowns, and no interceptions. In the game against Northwestern, he helped the Blue Devils pull away with three touchdown passes in one quarter.

The loss of Gilbert also will be a tough one for the Blue Devils as he was one of the top cornerbacks in college football. The ability to lock down opposing wide receivers and force turnovers, he had six interceptions last year, helped make his teammates job a little easier.
