Reggie Gallaspy struggles again

This is starting to become a worrisome trend for the offense of the NC State football team. For the second week in a row, the run game struggled to really get anything going with Reggie Gallaspy in the backfield.

After picking up only 68 yards against JMU, he finished with 24 rushing yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. He ended up having the third highest rushing total behind Brady Bodine and Trent Pennix for this Wolfpack offense.

This offense has had the fortune of having some excellent running backs the past few years as Matt Dayes and Nyheim Hines, who have had 1,000 yards rushing seasons in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

While Finley continues to air the ball out with ease, having a running game would make his life easier. If Gallaspy is not able to keep defenses honest, they will continue to drop more into coverage and close throwing lanes for the quarterback.
