Daniel Jones once again efficient

Head coach Dave Cutcliffe and the Duke football team coaching staff has to be very pleased with the performance of Daniel Jones through the first two games of the season. For a second week in a row, Jones was efficient, protected the ball and showed an ability to attack defenses down the field.

He finished the game 16 of 22 for 197 yards with three touchdown passes and no turnovers. This following a game against Army where he went 13 of 17 for 192 yards and one touchdown.

While it is a small sample size he has drastically improved his completion percentage from 56.7 to 74 percent, almost doubled his yards per attempt from 5.9 to 9.97, and is nearly a third of the way to his touchdown total from last year (14).

The area he has really improved though is to push the ball down the field. He has now completed passes of 61 yards, against Army, and 52 yards, against Northwestern.

This team may need that arm against Baylor, a game that could end up being a shootout between the two teams.
