Julius Peppers

The last player fans should pay close attention to is defensive end Julius Peppers. This is due mainly because of the fact that Peppers hasn’t suited up yet this year. The veteran defensive end did not play in any preseason games so it will be interesting to see if there is any rust that will need to be knocked off.

Peppers is one of the best pass rushers the Panthers have ever had. The team selected him second overall in 2002 and after stops with the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, returned to Carolina last year. Last year, he finished tied for the team lead, at the age of 37, in sacks with 11.
