Wolfpack need run game

The NC State football team has a dynamic passing attack however they will need Reggie Gallaspy and the rest of their running backs to keep opposing defenses honest.

Against James Madison, the run game was almost non-existent for most of the game and Gallaspy had only 49 rushing yards on 14 carries heading into their final drive. However, he did play a pivotal role in that final drive with 19 rushing yards of the team’s total 84 yards.

The past few seasons the Wolfpack have been able to rely on good backs like Matt Dayes and Nyheim Hines to keep this offense balanced. Both backs had 1,000 yard seasons in their final year at the collegiate level so the pressure is on Gallaspy to produce.

The pressure will be on Gallaspy heading into next week’s game against Georgia State to show he can carry the run game as the team’s featured back.
