Week 8: vs. Baltimore Ravens (10/28)

At this point in the season, it would not be surprising to see them facing rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens offense doesn’t really have great weapons and if Joe Flacco gets off to a slow start the team could decide to make the switch. That is what I believe will happen and while the Ravens’ defense is still very good, the Panthers are able to capitalize on the rookie mistakes by Jackson for a win.

Prediction: Win (4-3)

Week 9: vs. Tampa Bay Bucs (11/4)

For the first time since Week 2, the Panthers will face an NFC South opponent. This time it will be against former first overall pick Jameis Winston and the Bucs. They were a popular pick last season to as a sleeper playoff team however they struggled for a majority of the year. The Bucs added some talent on the defensive line with Jason Pierre-Paul and first round pick Vita Vea however it is not enough to compete in the tough NFC South. For the first time in 2018, the Panthers secure back to back wins.

Prediction: Win (5-3)
