Week 3: vs. Cincinnati Bengals (9/23)

This will be a battle between two of the top quarterbacks from the 2011 NFL Draft as Newton will go up against Bengals’ Andy Dalton. The Bengals are coming off a 7-9 season however were active this offseason addressing key positions like offensive tackle and linebacker. This is a game that Christian McCaffrey and the run game could have a big impact as the Panthers secure their second win of the season.

Prediction: Win (2-1)

Week 4: Bye

Week 5: vs. New York Giants (10/7)

This could be called the Dave Gettleman Bowl as his current team, the New York Giants, face his former team, the Carolina Panthers. While this may not be exactly accurate the one thing that is clear that he has major impact on the shaping of these two rosters. This should be a tough game for the Panthers as the Giants offense has so many weapons. This should be a high scoring matchup and is one the Panthers fall short in.

Prediction: Loss (2-2)
