ACC needs to watch out for WRs

This may be an understatement but the play of the Demon Deacons was incredible against the Tulane Green Wave. The team’s top wide receivers Sage Surratt (11 receptions, 150 yards), Greg Dortch (12 receptions, 149 receiving yards) and Alex Bachman (5 receptions, 62 yards, 2 touchdowns) should have the rest of the ACC on notice.

The play of Sage Surratt was the one that stood out the most as he looked dominant and could be a matchup nightmare for opposing cornerbacks. The redshirt freshman had high expectations entering this season and Dave Clawson even believed he should have a breakout year. After one game it certainly looks like it may happen.

The coaching staff will have some tough decisions to make in a few weeks because they didn’t have Scotty Washington for this game. He is trying to recover from injury and once he does they will need to figure out a way to get all these pass catchers on the field. This will not be an easy task.
