Malik Carney/Tomon Fox

When on the field, it will be key for the Tar Heels defense to get pressure on Bowers and make him uncomfortable in the pocket. Fortunately for this defense they have two good pass rushers in Malik Carney and Tomon Fox.

The bad news for fans is that this will be the last time they see both these pass rushers on the field together until the game against Duke in November. These two players were part of the 13 suspended for selling team-issued schools and both are required to sit out four games. However, they will not serve their suspensions at the same time.

These two defensive ends combined for 9.5 sacks last year and were expected to be a big part of this defense entering 2018. I expect big games from both defensive ends and will get constant pressure on the Cal quarterback.
