Game 4: at Marshall (9/22)

The Wolfpack head out on the road for the first time this season as they will take on Marshall. This is a game they should win however the Thundering Herd should not be taken lightly. In Athlon’s season preview for Marshall, the one concern on defense is in the secondary. This is an area Finley should exploit and he should have a big game.

Prediction: Win (3-1)

Game 5: vs. Virginia (9/29)

The Wolfpack open their ACC schedule with a home game against Virginia. The Cavaliers finished last year 3-5 in the ACC and they don’t like to be much improved from their performance last year. They did do a good job stopping the pass, finishing 14th in passing yards allowed, but 65th against the pass. This could be a game for Reggie Gallaspy Jr. to make his presence known and help carry this offense.

Prediction: Win (4-1)

Game 6: vs. Boston College (10/6)

This game will likely come down to one thing: Can the Wolfpack stop Boston College running back AJ Dillion? Dillion is expected to be one of the best players in college football this year and was even named ACC Preseason Player of the Year. At this point in the season the Wolfpack should know what they have with their defensive line and if they are struggling this could be a tough game. Even if they are playing well it will be tough and this is a game the Wolfpack will likely drop.

Prediction: Loss (4-2)
