Sam Hartman

There is no question that the one player most fans will be excited to see is Sam Hartman. The true freshman probably seemed like a long shot to start most of the season however circumstances throughout the summer presented him with a great opportunity.

The team probably expected that the starting quarterback in 2018 would have been Kendall Hinton. However, the redshirt junior was suspended for the first three games of the season for violating team rules.

This left Hartman to battle for the job with Jamie Newman, however an injury during the second scrimmage helped Hartman secure the start against Tulane.

However, it is hard to find a better situation for a true freshman to walk into. This offense is loaded with playmakers at every level and an above-average offensive line. This should be a big game for Hartman in his first career collegiate start.
