Game 1: at Tulane (8/30)

The Wake Forest football team starts the 2018 season on the road against the Tulane Green Wave. This will be a big test for true freshman Sam Hartman but he should be able to lean on his playmakers like Greg Dortch, Alex Bachman and Matt Colburn. The Demon Deacons should start the year off with a win.

Prediction: Win (1-0)

Game 2: vs. Towson (9/8)

After a strong first game, Hartman should remain the team’s starter for their game against Towson. While they are an FCS school, the Tigers do have a quarterback most fans will know in Tom Flacco, who is the younger brother of Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco. The family connection isn’t enough and the Demon Deacons move to 2-0 on the season.

Prediction: Win (2-0)

Game 3: vs. Boston College (9/13)

After the Wake Forest football team gets off to a fast start with two wins, they face their first real test of the season as they kick off the ACC schedule with a home game against Boston College. The deciding factor in this game will be whether or not the Demon Deacons can slow down running back AJ Dillion, who was named ACC Preseason Player of the Year. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely at this point and they suffer the first loss of the season.

Prediction Loss (2-1)
