There is one preseason game left for the Carolina Panthers and these are the players with the most to prove.

The Carolina Panthers will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in their final preseason game Thursday night. This is a game that will likely not see many of the starters however it doesn’t mean this isn’t important.

The final preseason game is usually a time NFL teams will get an extended look at their reserves and could play a significant role in who makes the 53-man roster. The Carolina Panthers will be forced to cut their current roster almost in half by Saturday at 4 PM.

The Panthers will be forced to make a number of tough decisions and this may be even tougher than in past seasons. This is due to the number of injuries they currently have along the offensive line. The team lost three starters (Daryl Williams, Amini Silatolu, Matt Kalil) this summer however the injuries weren’t season ending but they may not be ready for the start of the season.

To start the season, the Panthers may be forced to have more offensive linemen then previous years. This will impact depth at other positions and the team may be forced to release players they may not want to.

These are the four players with the most to prove entering the final preseason game.
